Since its establishment in
1973 as a section of the Korean Oriental Medical society, the
Korean Acupuncture and Moxibustion Society has put its efforts
into the development of acupuncture and moxibustion and promotion
of people's health and has led various academic activities.
The Society introduced the Korean acupuncture and moxibustion
in the symposiums held in Tokyo of Japan in 1974 and in Las
Vegas in 1975. Since then, the seminars for activation of the
Society and academic achievement of members as well as international
activities have been held continuously. Also, the Korean Acupuncture
and Moxibustion Society journal has been published continuously,
which has enabled recognition and support by the Korea Research
Foundation in 1998 for the first time in the oriental medical
science field. |
